Following the AGM the McGinnity-Burman awards of £750 each to the two Sea Cadet units of the Isle of Wight were made by Georgie Hibberd, longtime partner of the founder, Tony McGinnity. The donations came from funds accumulated by the members of the Merchant Mariners of Wight at events held throughout the year.
